No 14 – a beloved design classic

Café Chair No 14 was designed by Michael Thonet, a German carpenter, as early as 1859. Michael Thonet began bending the beech wood by the help of hot steam. His methods has resulted in the chair No 14, also known as “the chair of all chairs”. No 14 has been manufactured in the Paged factory for 140 years. The Thonet chairs are manufactured carefully and partially by hand.

Café Chair No 14 from Paged is a chair in a timeless desgn that never will be out of fashion, on the contrary it gets more and more popular.

The frame is made of beech and the seat is available in rattan or veneer.
